Why Is My Bitcoin Order Underpaid?

There are several reasons why a Bitcoin order is underpaid:

  1. The dollar amount rather than the requested Bitcoin amount was entered in the wallet. Rates can vary slightly from one wallet and service to another. Be sure to enter the requested Bitcoin amount and not the dollar amount to ensure the correct amount of Bitcoin transfers.
  2. Bitcoin Exchange was used. Exchanges typically deduct fees from the payment at different rates than most Bitcoin wallets.
  3. A low fee or no fee was paid. Bitcoin miners are incentivized to use miner fees to confirm payments. Not include a fee or paying a low fee may result in a delay in the transaction. Any delay in excess of 15 minutes can result in the transaction going through at new Bitcoin rates.
